Brainspotting

Brain-based therapy is the fastest-growing area in the field of psychological health because it has proven that it can immediately address issues that talk therapy can take years to heal. Brinspotting was created by Dr. David Grand combining the strengths of brain-based and talk therapies into a powerful technique.

Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed issues in the subcortical brain. The direction in which we look affects our ability to access deeper regions of the brain. This is why we gaze when we are deep in thought or when processing something. In Brainspotting, a facilitator helps you position your eyes and then supports you in processing issues from there in ways that enable access to deep sources of inner clarity, understanding and release.

Brainspotting is a non-pathologizing, applied methodology that is best experienced through direct practice. If you really want to know what Brinspotting is, try it and find out.
